Carlo Virgilio/卡洛·维吉里奥， 意大利博洛尼亚人，2015年毕业于英国伯明翰大学，获拜占庭史方向博士学位。主要研究领域为中世纪地中海史、文艺复兴时期的意大利、早期奥斯曼帝国史、佛罗伦萨史等。研究专长为佛罗伦萨与拜占庭帝国和奥斯曼帝国之间的关系（社会、经济、外交等方面），以及中世纪地中海世界的政治、经济和文化交流。
近期主要研究方向：1. 中世纪地中海史 2. 文艺复兴时期的意大利 3. 早期奥斯曼帝国史 4. 佛罗伦萨史 5. 中世纪经济史6. 拜占庭史
